More Than Just a Taxi

A big perk of the restoration work we do here at the Service Station is getting to hear the personal stories attached to the cars or trucks brought to us. We were very fortunate a few months back to get the opportunity to begin work on a very special London taxi cab with more stories attached to it than most.

Flat black or rust will do just fine

I'll admit that I drool over those fancy, high-dollar projects I see on the Discovery Channel and TLC, but I know where the heart of rod scene beats the strongest. Check out this NY Times article on the rat rod scene—No Tangerine Flake, Baby: Hot Rods Go Back to Basic Black

Well, it took a few months, but we're geared up and crankin' away at the web site. Just slapped a new coat of paint on her and she's starting to look like a well-oiled machine. We're starting to build our online parts store, so check back soon to browse our inventory and place an order. We'll also have a selection of t-shirts and other items with that old iron on 'em (have a gander).
We also added links to a few Chevy- and GMC-related books and manuals. If there's a truck or car restoration book that you think folks shouldn't live without, leave a comment or drop us a line and we'll add it.
Web Site Restoration Project
Submitted by Paul on June 9, 2006 - 1:33pm
Summer's nearly here and we're getting around to our web site restoration project. Stop back in the coming months to see what's going on in the shop, look for vehicles for sale, or to find parts for your classic Chevy or GMC truck. We also plan to offer some nifty t-shirts, hats, and other swag for those who love that old iron.
From time to time we may even jot down a few notes about what we're working on here in the shop.
Look forward to seeing you.
